4. Loaf of bread for a day’s wages, 3 qts. of barley for a day’s wages but no olive oil or wine. Extreme inflation and world depression (economical).

(Ch. 7)

1. 4th Seal — Ash colored horse and rider (Death)authority over 1/4 of the earth to

kill with famine, plague and wild beasts of the earth.

1. 5th Seal — Those killed for Jesus crying for judgment to come each given a white robe and told to rest a little while longer.
2. 6th Seal — Great earthquake, sun turns black and moon turns red as blood.
   • . Stars fall to earth and every mountain shook and shifted.
   • . Everyone hid in caves to hide from the wrath of God.
   • . Four angels at four corners of the earth so the wind would not blow.
     1. Given power to hurt the earth and sea.
   • . Another angel commands the 4 angels not to harm the earth or sea until 144,000 (12, 000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel Jews) are sealed with God ‘s mark on their foreheads.
   • . Large crowds of people from all nations clothed in white robes before the throne and Jesus and said, “Salvation is due to our God, who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb. ”
     1. Are those who came out of the Great Tribulation and will never suffer again. Jesus will shepherd them. (May be those just raptured)
3. 7th Seal – Silence in heaven as 7 angels are given 7 trumpets.

• 1st Trumpet — Hail and fire mixed with blood

1/3 of earth and trees burned up and all green grass.

•  2nd Trumpet — A burning mountain is thrown into the sea and 1/3 of the sea turns to blood and 1/3 of the sea creatures died plus 1/3 of the ships destroyed.
• 3rd Trumpet — A huge star comes to earth and 1/3 of the rivers and springs become bitter. Star is called Wormwood and many die from the water .
•  4th Trumpet 1/3 of the sun, moon, and stars darkened for 1/3 of a day and night.

(Ch. 9)

• 5th Trumpet — A star fell to earth and smoke came from a pit and the sun and air darkened by the smoke.

1. Locust come out of the smoke like scorpions and only hurt those not marked with God’s seal for 5 months but did not kill them.
2. Locust look like horses equipped for battle and wings that roared like many horse—drawn chariots.

•  6th Trumpet 4 demons released at the Euphrates River and kill 1/3 of mankind and lead an army of 200,000,000. 2/3 left still do not repent of their evil.

• 7th Trumpet Final prophesies will be fulfilled.

2. Prophesy for 1260 days and kill anyone who tries to hurt them.

• . No rain for this time and have power to turn waters to blood and to give plagues.
• . The Beast kills them after 1260 days. Their bodies hang in the streets.
• . After 3—1/2 days they come back to life and ascend to heaven — there is an earthquake there in Jerusalem and 1/10 of the city collapses and 7000 people die.
• . 7th Trumpet now blows and 24 elders in heaven praise God and it is time to destroy earth ‘s people and reward the faithful.
• (Ch. 12) MICHAEL (ARCHANGEL) FOUGHT SATAN AND HIS ANGELS Satan was cast to earth out of Heaven.

(Ch. 13) THE BEAST WITH 10 HORNS AND 7 HEADS AND 10 CROWNS ON THE

10 HORNS AND BLASPHEMOUS NAMES OF THE HEADS (INTERPRETATION IN CH. 17)

1. Looked like a leopard, feet like a bear’s, mouth like a lion’s.
2. Dragon (Satan) invested the Beast (Antichrist) with his power and throne and great authority.
3. One of the heads is fatally wounded and was healed whole earth follows him.
4. World worships the Dragon and Beast.
5. Are allowed to make war with the saints and to conquer them.

1. All who’s name is not in the Book of Life will worship him.
2. Second beast (False Prophet)
   1. Had 2 horns like a Iamb’s but spoke like a dragon and made all to worship the first beast.
   2. Performs miracles and causes fire to come down from heaven.

Brings breath to the first Beast’s statue.

3. Order those who don’t worship Beast’s st due to be killed.
4. Mark to all so can’t buy or sell without it. Number is 666.

VII. (Ch. 14) CHRIST ON MT. ZION AND 144,000 WHO HAD GOD’S MARK ON THEIR FORHEADS .

1. Angel proclaims to earth to worship God for his judgments are near.
2. Second angel condemns the earth for immorality.
3. Third angel proclaims that those whith the mark of the Beast and have worshipped his statue will face the judgment and wrath of God.

D.Voice from heaven says that blessed are those

who die faithful from now on. Still have opportunity to be saved if don’t have Satan’s mark.

1. Christ reaps earth’s harvest with scythe and blood” flows up to they horses’ bridles for 200 miles. Christ ‘ s judgment to come at the end of the Tribulation (at Armageddon).

VIII(Ch.15) SEVEN ANGELS WITH SEVEN PLAGUES COMPLETES GOD’S WRATH

1. Seven angels given 7 golden bowls full of the wrath of God.

(Ch. 16) B. 1st Angel — Malignant ulcer to those with the mark

of the Beast.

1. 2nd Angel — Sea turns to blood and every sea crea— ture dies.
2. 3rd Angel All rivers and springs turn to blood.
3. 4th Angel — Sun scorches humanity and none repent.
4. 5th Angel Darkness and people blasphemed God for their suffering.
5. 6th Angel — Euphrates River dries up so kings from the east make ready to fight. The Antichrist and False Prophet gather the kings of the east at Armageddon to fight God.
6. 7th Angel Great earthquake and a voice saying, “It is done. ” Great hail on men from heaven weighing 100 pounds and men blaspheme God for the plague.
7. (Ch. 17) THE 7 HEADS or THE BEAST ARE 7 KINGS – 5 HAVE FALLEN,

1 WAS RULING AT THE TIME OF JOHN (APPROX. 80 AD), AND ANOTHER WAS YET TO COME FOR A LITTLE WHILE.

1. The Beast is to be the eighth and will spring from the seven.

1. The 10 horns are 10 kings who have not yet received a kingdom but for one hour will receive royal authority with the Beast. Will war with Christ who will conquer them.
2. (Ch. 18) THEN AN ANGEL PROCLAIMS , “BABYLON IS FALLEN” MEANS

SATAN IS DEFEATED.

1. (Ch. 19) HEAVENS OPEN AND A WHITE HORSE APPEARS AND CHRIST IS THE RIDER
2. A sharp sword out of his mouth to smite the nations.
3. Beast and earth’s kings and armies at war with Christ and His army.
4. Beast is seized and False Prophet flung both alive into the Lake of Fire. Remainder of the people were put to death and birds eat their flesh.

 

	(Ch. 20)	ANOTHER ANGEL SEIZED THE DRAGON (SATAN) AND BOUND HIM FOR 1000 YEARS AND HURLED HIM INTO THE ABYSS NOT To TEMPT FOR THAT LONG
		A.	Souls of those slain for their testimony to Jesus and those who didn’t receive the Beast’s mark or worship his statue they come to life and reign with Christ for 1000 years 1st Resurrection.
		B.	After 1000 years Satan released to tempt the earth for a season and gathers a number as large as the sands of the seashore. 1.  They surround the saints and Jerusalem but fire comes down from heaven and consumes them. 2.  Satan then cast into the Lake of Fire where the Beast and False Prophet are.
		C.	Great White Throne Judgment . 1.   Dead raised from hades and both cast into Lake of Fire.         Pg. 8 of 8
Xlll.	(Ch. 21)	NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH A. New Jerusalem decends from heaven death or pain are no longer and God’s dwelling place to be among men . 1. 12 stones (foundation) have names of the 12 apostles. 2. City is 1500 miles on each side . 3.Only those who’s names are written in the Book of Life could enter.
XIV.	(Ch. 22)	NO ONE IS TO ADD OR DELETE ANYTHING FROM THIS PROPHESY REVEALED TO JOHN.

COMMENTS AND OTHER SCRIPTURE ON REVELATION

Corinthians 15 : 51—52

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump : for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorrup— tible and we shall be changed.

11 Timothy 4: 8

“Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:

and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

John 5:26-29

“For as the Father hath in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice.

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resur— rection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. ”

We are promised in God’s Word that those who accept Christ as their Saviour will escape the wrath and judgment of God. Therefore, I believe God’s servants will not face the portion of the Tribulation Period that is actually God’s Wrath upon men.

The Rapture may take place before the Tribulation Period but there are several scriptures mentioned in my outline and other places which raise some doubt. Six of the seven seals mentioned in Rev. 6—7 may not be judgments but signs of the times and may be even caused in some part by men. However, under the s ixth seal we are told there will be people from all nations who came out of the Tribulation true to God. This may be those Raptured.

However, the seven trumpets under the seventh seal are more apt to be from God’s Wrath. Particularly since those who are not sealed by God (the 144,000 are those Jews with God’s seal on their fore— heads) will be plagued with locust for 5 months; and we who are Christian, and not of the 144, 000 Jews, will not have God’s mark. Therefore, I think Christians

will be raptured before the 144 , 000 are sealed and even the millions of Christian Jews will be raptured and not on this world to recieve God’s mark. Therefore, Christians would have to be raptured before the 5th trumpet to be spared from the plague of the locust which are only to torment those not sealed by God, those being afflicted with the wrath of God.

However, even this conclusion may be in doubt because of I Corinthians 15: 51—52 which indicates the Rapture will be as the last (Seventh) trumpet sounds, if Paul is referring to the same trumpets John is. John’s vision came many years after Paul wrote I Corinthians and Paul did not break down prophesy into trumpets and seals and bowls as John did. Therefore, the above conclusion that the rapture is before the 5th trumpet and probably before the 5th seal may sV11 be logical.

The seven bowls or plagues are definitely the judgment of God and come after the trumpets, probably as the seventh sounds .

The two witnesses will preach for 3—1/2 years and will convert many. If the rapture is before this, the conversion of the 144 , 000 could result from their ministry. They will preach through the trumpets and probably after the Rapture takes place. They will be killed just before the 7th trumpet sounds and will come back to life and go up to heaven. I believe those converted during the witnesses reign will suffer persecution and probably many will be killed by the Antichrist but will be saved from Judgment if they don’t receive the Beast’s mark.

Even though Chapter 13 may mean that the Beast may kill Christians before the Rapture, Chapter 14 says that the third angel blesses those faithful from then on which is after 7 trumpets and before the bowls of wrath. These are probably those left after the Rapture, saved through the ministry of the two witnesses and remain faithful to God.

Armageddon can be broken into two parts. In the sixth trumpet 200,000, 000 will meet at the Euphrates River and 1/3 of all mankind will be destroyed. Many think this is what Ezekiel in Chapter 3 8—40 talks about when Gog (Russia) attacks Israel, defeats her, and is destroyed with her allies when returning home and later when the king of the east, possibly China, with his great army, meet the Antichrist and the rest of the world at Armegeddon and the 200,000,000 fighting.

This Battle at Armageddon ends when the Antichrist, with the nations of the world, fight Christ and are destroyed. This is at the end of the 7 years of Tribulation.

There are many prophesies of the coming time not found in

Revelation but support John ‘s vision. Some of them are found in

Daniel (Ch. 7—8 & 12) , Ezekiel 38—40, I Thessalonians Ch. 4, Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Joel 2—3. These scriptures are worth further study and indicate things in greater detail that John didn ‘t describe as well.

I wrote the above arguments because there is doubt as to when the Rapture may occur. It could happen at the beginning of the Tribulation Period or part way into the period. The Christians may have to face the persecution by the Antichrist or only those converted after the Rapture may face it. However, we are told that there will be faithful followers of Christ who will be killed by the Beast as there are many today and in years past who have died for their witness for Christ. Therefore, we should be willing and ready to face whatever the Lord allows Satan to put in our path. But we do have the verse (I Corinthians 10:13) which promises that we will not have to face any temptation stronger than we are able to bear.

MY CONCLUSIONS

Luke 21 tells of some of the signs of the end time and verse 36 says, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. ”

This one scripture indicates that we should pray that we will escape the things mentioned in Luke 21 which are the same things John talks of from his seven seals through the seven trumpets and seven bowls of wrath. Therefore, there is still scriptural support for the hope that we as Christians will escape the entire Tribulation Period if we remain true to God.

I believe Revelation is written in the order in which events will happen. The 6 seals come first and are not God’s judgment until the church is raptured during the 6th seal. Then come the 7 trumpets with judgment and the ministry of the 2 witnesses for 3—1/2 years.

I think the mark of the Beast comes after the witnesses finish their work and everyone has had an opportunity to follow or reject God. Those who would receive the mark could not be saved and would not be affected by their ministry if the mark came before their ministry. Those saved by their ministry would have been lost before and would not know the consequences of receiving the mark. This is why I think the mark comes after the witnesses go back to heaven.

I also think the short time until Christ returns to rule will be the real time of testing for these Christians. They can’t buy food because they don’t have the mark. However, Christ will soon return and destroy Satan’s army at Armageddon. Then the binding of Satan and the 1000 year reign by Christ and those raptured and those faithful through the 7 years of tribulation will begin.

During the 1000 years, there will be no sin or disease or death. People will be born and live sinless. However, at the end of 1000 years Satan will be freed to tempt these people. Satan and those following him will attack God and the saints and will be stopped. Satan, and those who followed him, and those who are dead and not saved or raptured before Christ returned to reign, will be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire. This will include those in hell. This is called the Great White Throne Judgment.

A new heaven and earth will be created, the new Jerusalem will come down to earth, and we ‘ 11 reign with God forever never to be tempted again.

As a note, we may be in the 3rd seal right now (Jan. 1980) and nearing the 4th seal.

This revelation to John should make us realize how very little time we have left and how precious that time is. If you do not know Christ as your saviour or are not sure that you are ready if Christ was to come today, this should motivate you to ask Jesus to forgive your sins and ask Him to come into your life. Then, begin living for Christ, study His word daily and commune with Him daily in prayer, and begin allowing Him to change your life so you no longer do the sins you did before.

If you are sure of your salvation, John’s revelation should motivate you to be more ernest in telling others of Christ’s love and forgiveness. We must be alert to every opportunity we are given to witness for our Lord. Wouldn’t it be a terrible burden someday to know someone, maybe even a loved one , is lost because we didn’t even try to tell them? Scripture tells us that we are responsible to show others through our lives and witness of God’s saving grace. The fruit we are to bear is leading others into salvation. By telling others, we free our souls and remove the blood of others from off our hands if they do refuse and face God’s judgment.

So, let’s be faithful and be alert to every opportunity and live the pure and joyous lives Christ requires and don’t be ashamed of our Saviour or reluctant to witness to others.                                                                     Don McDaniel      January 1980

August 2017 update:  This outline of John’s Revelation and my comments are now 37 years old and, obviously, Christ has not returned yet.  As I look back over the past 37 years realizing we have a son and a granddaughter and two step grandsons that would never have been born if Christ’s return happened in 1980. They never would have had the choice to know Christ nor opportunity to experience God’s mercy nor heaven. As I reflect I long for Christ to return soon but realize there are still many lost that He is waiting for.  Stop and think, HE WAITED FOR YOU AND ME!! Think of the date you accept Christ.  For me it was September 1961.  What if Christ would have returned in August 1961?  I would have been eternally lost.  We can debate when Christ will return to rapture His church, His followers, at the beginning of the tribulation or in the middle or at the end. As you can see, I believe He will return at the beginning. But debate is because we don’t understand clearly what He has revealed in scripture nor know what He has withhold from our understanding until that time comes.  But that is where our faith and trust in His Wisdom and Will needs to prevail and obedience to what He does ask us to do in the meantime. That is to be diligent in sharing His Good News so others will have time to accept His grace while they can and to pay attention to the signs and prepare by drawing closer to Him, learning and hiding scripture in our hearts, and praying and fellowshiping with Him and with other believers faithfully.  Making ourselves available and reflecting Christ’s character and following His example are all a part of creating and leaving a positive legacy of eternal duration.  Christ’s return may still be 100 years away or today.  IF it is 100 years away, that simply means 3-4 more generations will have opportunity for life and to know our creator and savior too.  But they will also have opportunity to reject Him. Either way, it is God’s Will that will prevail. But 100 years away is not very likely unless revival breaks out and spreads globally to stop satan’s destruction from getting to the point God must intervene to prevent man from exterminating all living things including humanity. So let’s focus on revival while waiting on His return. Let’s face it, for you and me heaven is a lot closer than 100 years away anyway.   AMEN!!
