The Throne of Grace

            hebrews-4-14-16

“ 22 This righteousnessis given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[b] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.” Romans 3:22-25

Recommended Reading:  Hebrews 4:14-16 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

COMMENTS:  Jesus came to earth as a human without all His divine attributes – fully reliant on the Father.  Yet, He came to be our perfect sin sacrifice, our perfect High Priest, our perfect advocate to the Father, our perfect example of how we should live, our perfect teacher, our perfect friend and so much more.  Yet since His death and resurrection, He returned to heaven to build and prepare a perfect home for us and one day will return to take us home and then return to bind and imprison satan and restore the earth to the perfect state God intended at creation.   Christ then will be our perfect king and ruler.

“There is no deeper love, Scripture tells us, than a man who gives up his life for a friend” (John 15:13).

Jesus went even farther—dying for us while we were still His enemies (Rom. 5:10).
