Who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.   Psalm 89:8

Recommended Reading: Psalm 89:5-9 And the heavens will praise Your wonders, O Lord; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints. For who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord?Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord?God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,And to be held in reverence by all those around Him.O Lord God of hosts,Who is mighty like You, O Lord?Your faithfulness also surrounds You.You rule the raging of the sea; When its waves rise, You still them.”

COMMENTS:  Billy Graham’s son, Ned, said his father was always Faithful – Available – Teachable.  He was and exampled a worthy example of being Christ-like.  He demonstrated all 3 attributes all his live even at the age of 99.

Faithfulness is not just demonstrating morality but also a foundational attribute also evident with integrity and sincerity, and dependability.   It is the glue that hold society together.  Family and friendship relationships depend on faithfulness.  So, does acquiring and sustaining a relationship with Christ.

Because of God’s faithfulness, we can trust and depend on all the promised given in scripture.  We can also be confident the sun will raise, and gravity and an infinite number of other physical cycles will be repeated the next morning we waken to greet.  “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”  Colossians 1:17

As we draw closer to Christ, and become more like Him, we also become more faithful and dependable in our relationships with others.  Any hope of leading our family and friends to Christ is dependent on how Christ-like we are consistently day after day.  When we become hungry to be closer and more like Christ, it is only then we are drawn and willing to sacrifice to become more like Him, as we seek out food when we are hungry.  Then we will be Faithful – Available – Teachable.

Be firm and be faithful; desert not the right; / The brave become bolder the darker the night.
