The Greatest Miracle

And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.

1 Corinthians 15:14

Recommended Reading: ROMANS 8:10-18 “10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

COMMENTS:  Take a few minutes to clear your mind in a quiet place, sit back, and reflect.  Reflect on your body taking note of its complexity and reliability and your ability to move and use an arm and leg at will.  Reflect on those things you must think about in order to do like speak or walk or look around or smile.  Then think about those things you do without thinking like breathing or your heart beating or all the other things that go on inside your body faithfully without a thought on your part.   Then look around and notice how well the world functions and provides for you and all other living creatures.  Especially if you are doing this reflection in a country or rural setting.   It is a rainy spring morning and sun is just coming up but hid by the clouds.  The darkness of night has given way exposing life and structures all around me.  How amazing I can see and smell and feel and hear the world around me.  Then how about countless other things we take for granted.  How about air to breath everywhere we go?  Gravity consistent to hold us on earth?  All the laws of physics like inertia or kinetic energy or friction all of which enable us to move and travel freely in the world.  The list is too long to continue, but all this is to increase our awareness of how well God designed and built the universe and our own world for us to live in and enjoy.

So how much sense does it make to believe our universe and world evolved without the influence of an intelligent powerful force?  Believing this takes a lot more faith than believing in a creator but a lot of faith without any logic that the scientific community claims to have and use.  Why is the theory of evolution, a theory and not a fact, command such a following in science while logic alone would discount it due to how well and complex all creation functions and is?

The Bible tells us how the universe and world and all creation, including us, was made.  The Bible also tells us our purpose and the way to eternal life but also to a fulfilling and joyous life here too. We have so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to.  The Good News Christ gives us is a life changer both for here and for eternity.  The miracle of Easter may be fading from our thoughts but it’s impact lives on and continues to transform any and all who will accept it and accept Christ, who died and was resurrected for each and every one who will receive it.   No waiting in line or making an appointment or driving long distances.  His salvation and abiding Holy Spirit is available to everyone all the time and anywhere 24x7x365…  There is no valid excuse to wait.  No better time and no better place.

Have you ever dreading doing something or just weren’t in the right mood so put it off?  Then when you finally did it, you discovered and wished you have done it sooner.  No one who accepts Christ ever wishes they had waited longer but there is a long list of those who wished they had come to Him sooner.

The world and even our own bodies show and shout of God’s influence and miracles.  More miracles are revealed each day.  There likely will be one in your life today too, if we take the time to stop and notice.  Shouldn’t we then stop and say “thank you” to the One who cares for us so well and loves us like none other can or does?  AMEN!                                                                                                   “Christianity is essentially a religion of resurrection.” James S.
