BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING -GOD’S DREAM FOR YOU AND ME!!

3-24-16 pi114Luke 1:39-45   At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favoured, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!”

DON’S COMMENTS :   “Blessings come through faith”, what a amazingly true statement to reflect on and pray about. Instead of writing a long commentary, let’s sit back or find a private room and get on our knees and let God tells you and me directly what He wants us to realize about this statement and response He is asking of us.   How amazing and real that became for Mary because she simply responded from her faith in God. How blessed she became because of previous responses to her faith that caused her faith to grow and empowered her to respond in greater ways.   How was she able to respond in faith when she saw her beloved Son die on the cross and become Her Savior too?   What an example to guide us.   So how does God want to use and exercise our faith, as small as it is? How does He want to stretch and strength you and me now that Easter is history (or is it?)?   I am venturing out in faith starting this new blog in addition to keeping and sharing a devotional journal by email.                                                                                        You can reach both at: “www.donsdevotions.wordpress.com”.                                             This is not something I felt comfortable doing, but with encouragement of a visiting friend from Ukraine and my family, I am venturing out in faith seeking God’s help and input and direction – one step at a time. Isn’t that what faith is – one step at a time without seeking destination yet?….  I also encourage you to seek way God wants to stretch your faith and bring extra blessing your way so you can be a blessing to more too.  50 or 100 years from now the importance of doing this will be overwhelming.  It also might be overwhelming a whole lot sooner too…
